When the Pharrell Williams x adidas NMD Hu first dropped back in 2016, the sneaker world was quick to make it one of the most hyped silhouettes. Although things may have changed since then, the shoe is having something of a resurgence. In recent weeks, we’ve seen a number of brand new colourways and limited regional pairs. Thankfully, Pharrell and adidas have a lot planned. Now, we have a look at a pair of NMD Hu’s exclusive to Asia.
Bearing a much simpler colourway than previous Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu’s, this is arguably one of the best pairs we’ve seen in a while. A clever combination of grey Primeknit is contrasted with a white leather heel. Notable changes include a semi-translucent lace cage and heel plug overlays, although tonal accents help to add a splash of colour. On the forefoot, an inspirational message has been embroidered, a detail that is contrasted with a teal plug against the white Boost midsole and black outsole.
