Last week, Ronnie Fieg took to Instagram to reveal an upcoming collaboration between Kith and The Godfather. Known for his love of films, Fieg dropped the information with just a few details. Fans were excited at what the collab would hold but knew that Fieg and his team would ensure the drop would encapsulate both brands perfectly. Now, thanks to Fieg once again, we have a first glimpse of what the clothing will look like.
Staying true to The Godfather and its film posters, Kith has used black as the basis for the three-piece drop. A hoodie features a large portrait of Marlon Brando’s Don Corleone character on the front, with a simple Kith logo underneath. The back of the hoodie features co-branded Kith and The Godfather logos, with Paramount Pictures placed at the bottom.
Two T-shirts have also been included in this drop. The long-sleeve T-shirt, also black, features The Godfather’s marionette string emblem holding up a logo of Kith; a well-balanced graphic that brings both brands together nicely. Arguably the standout piece in this drop, however, is the short sleeve box logo T-shirt.
Kith has seamlessly blended the same graphic of Don Corleone with its iconic lettering. The box logo features Marlon Brando’s face underneath Kith branding and is a testament to how well this collab has been thought out. The black T-shirt is the perfect background for this box logo to work against and finishes off this drop nicely.
With Kith seeming to grow year on year, we hope that there are more of these film inspired collaborations continue to release. Goodfellas next please, Ronnie.
