When it comes to important brands in streetwear few come close to BAPE. Founded by Nigo in 1993, the Japanese streetwear label is one of the most recognisable brands on the planet. Although Nigo may have departed in 2013, the brand has continued to bring out exciting products and collaborations. After announcing just last week that it would be working with The Weeknd, we now have a look at an upcoming collaboration with Grammy-nominated rapper Pusha T.
Of course, this not the first time that the two have worked together. The relationship between BAPE and Pusha T goes back over a decade and has seen a number of releases. After a brief hiatus, it seems as though things are back to normal. The two have teamed up again to launch a capsule collection that is perfect for any occasion.
Using classic BAPE pieces as the starting point, a Baby Milo and Pusha T image has been used across a number of items. A white and black cotton hoodie features the graphic across the front, with the same graphics being applied to a white and black T-shirt.
Fans of the Shark Hoodie can rejoice as a Pusha T version is also planned for this drop. A black shark hoodie with a custom version of the iconic Ape Head can be found on the back; bringing one of BAPE’s most sought after pieces into 2020 in style. Two further T-shirts in white and black also feature this graphic, rounding off a well-balanced collaboration with a classic BAPE heritage feel.
This latest collaboration adds to BAPE’s already popular line of musician based collabs. Previous artists who have worked with BAPE include Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T and Kid Cudi.
