One of the most anticipated sneakers of the year is dropping this Friday. BMX superstar Nigel Sylvester’s first-ever Air Jordan 4 OG collaboration arrives in the fiery red ‘Brick By Brick’ colourway.

Nigel Sylvester made his first sneaker collaboration with his distressed sail Air Jordan 1 back in 2018. Last year, he made real waves with two colourways for the Air Jordan 4 RM. The RM being a low-profile re-design for the ‘89 classic built for a range of sports including BMX. Now, he’s presenting his first collaborative colourway for the OG AJ4 shape.

While his two RM colourways were inspired by his Grandmother’s house, this new Air Jordan 4 is inspired by the brick buildings of Nigel’s hometown of Queens, NYC. The entire premium nubuck upper comes in bright brick red, and the synthetic mudguard on the toe even sports a unique brick-like texture. The sail midsole features a visible Air unit with translucent red rubber on the herringbone outsole.

Sylvester’s signature Bike Air branding sits on the heel and a matching white mini Swoosh on the mudguard. The insoles also feature the word “GO”, a simple message fitting the high-octane nature of Nigel’s sport and his collabs. This pair also comes in a special box with both shoes even wrapped up like a set of bricks.

With collabs like these, Nigel Sylvester has quickly risen to one of Jordan Brand’s biggest stars. The momentum behind this pair even led to a massive stunt that got shut down by police back in January. This event featured Nigel riding a massive brick-themed truck through New York’s Lafayette and Spring. This year, Nigel is also rumored to be dropping a new Nitro colourway for the AJ1, plus a second colourway for the AJ4.

In the meantime, keep an eye out for the release of the Air Jordan 4 OG ‘Brick By Brick’. If you miss out on the retail drops, check out the listings available on the KLEKT App.
