You don’t need us to remind you that the Air Jordan 4 is one of the hottest sneakers of all time, still selling out to this day. Now, 35 years after its first release, one of the AJ4’s most iconic colourways is making a comeback, the Military Blue.

The Military Blue is one of the AJ4’s OG colourways. Its last release was all the way back in 2012 and has been a sought-after retro ever since. This upcoming 2024 release aims to stay as true to the 1989 original as possible, with its shape inspired by this year’s smash hit Nike SB x AJ4.

The upper comes in premium smooth white leather, with grey suede on the toe. Bright blue accents appear on the lace crowns and under the mesh net panels. The tongue tag features a blue Jumpman with the classic ‘Flight’ text, while the blue TPU heel features the OG white Nike Air branding from ‘89. Blue accents also line the top of the midsole, which features a visible Air unit in the heel. The classic herringbone rubber outsole sits underneath.

The Military Blue is rumoured to drop around May 2024. We’re still a ways away with no official images from Nike, but the hype for the shoe has already swept through the sneaker landscape. While there’s little to go on for now, we do know that the Military Blue is an essential colourway for an essential sneaker, sure to be one of the hottest drops of 2024.
