It’s hard to beat a classic black and red sneaker. The Air Jordan 1 “Varsity Red” was the closest to a “Bred” we have seen in a few years. Limited to just 23,000 pairs, the “Varsity Red” became one of the year’s hottest sneakers. Well, it looks as though Jordan Brand is still feeling the colour combination, with a “Varsity Red” Air Jordan 1 Low in the works.
Using the same panelling and colour blocking as its High top brother, the “Varsity Red” Jordans are certainly easy to look at. A black leather and nylon base is contrasted by red leather on the mudguard, side panels and heel. The red Swoosh gives this shoe its OG Bred feel, whilst the Jumpman on the tongue and Wings logo on the heel bring the shoe into the 21st century. Given the resurgence of Lows, this drop makes sense.
Whilst there is no news on whether this is as limited as the Jordan 1 High, its definitely a second chance to cop. Expect these to hit stores later this month. Check out the first images below and let us know if you plan on picking these up.
