Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last 35 years, you’ll know how important the University of North Carolina is to the world of sneakers. As Michael Jordan’s former school, the UNC has always held a special place in the His Airness’ heart. A former player of the UNC Tar Heels, the school colours have adorned Nikes and Jordans for decades. Now, we have a brand new UNC Air Jordan 1 Low coming just in time for summer.
Taking the classic Air Jordan 1 silhouette, the low top version features a perfect combination of white and powder blue throughout. A simple white base is contrasted by blue panels across the heel, laces and mudguard. On the tongue, a simple Jumpman can be seen, with a small number 23 on the laces. Of course, no Jordan 1 would be complete without a Wings logo. On this particular Jordan 1 Low, Wings logo takes pride of place on the heel in soft white outline.
