There is no stopping Jordan Brand at the minute. Over the past few years, Michael Jordan’s sneaker line has created some of the most hyped releases in history. Now, it looks as though the brand plans on continuing this success by revealing the upcoming range of sneakers for the summer season. Expect classic silhouettes reimagined, that’s all we’ll say.
Taking centre stage in this campaign is the Air Jordan 4 “Metallic Pack” which DJ Khaled recently unveiled on Instagram. These AJ4s use a crisp white leather base and will drop in four colourways; Green, Orange, Purple and Red. That’s not the only Jordan 4 dropping this season, with a “Rasta” edition also releasing. A combination of yellow, red, green and black can be seen throughout the shoe, with the classic cement print across the sole and heel tab.
Two Air Jordan 1s are also set to release this season, with the “Court Purple” dropping tomorrow. The other is the “Tie Dye”, a sneaker that features blue and green effects on a primarily white and black base. These are definitely some of the more memorable 1s to release over the past few years.
Of course, the Air Jordan 5 is also turning 30 this year so what better way to celebrate to bring back a fan favourite. The “Fire Red” Air Jordan 5 will drop and return in its OG form, complete with Nike Air on the back. Jordan Brand also has a “Top 3” version of the AJ5 planned, seamlessly blending the “Black Metallic”, “Grape” and “Fire Red” onto one sneaker.
It’s not all highs this season though, with two Air Jordan 11 Lows being thrown into the mix. One features two classic Jordan 11 colourways on one, combining the “Bred” and “Concord” together. The other features a blue patent leather and a white leather base for a premium feel looking AJ11 Low.
More OGs return in the form of the Air Jordan 13 “Flint”. The blue panelling is contrasted nicely by the white leather and grey suede on the heel. Who could forget that holographic 23 on the side too? This is definitely going to be popular among those OG collectors.
Finishing things off is the Air Jordan 7 “Hare 2.0”. A tribute to Bugs Bunny and Michael Jordan’s original “Hare Jordan” campaign, the sneaker features a green faux fur upper. Furthermore, subtle details such as a white midsole and a tri-colour heel add to the allure.
