The influence of the Air Jordan 1 in the history of sneakers is undeniable. Peter C. Moore’s design has become one of the most successful sneakers in Nike’s arsenal. 35 years later, that doesn’t look like it will be going anywhere. Over the past seven months, Jordan Brand has been slowly dropping a number of great AJ1s. Well, one upcoming Air Jordan 1 will look very familiar to a lot of sneakerheads, for all the right reasons.
After being revealed last month the “Dark Mocha” Air Jordan 1 High OG was quickly picked up by social media. Looking strikingly similar to the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1, this upcoming pair will be a much cheaper alternative. However, that isn’t to say that Jordan Brand hasn’t treated this AJ1 with the same premium materials as its muse.
A well-balanced combination of tumbled leather and suede makes this luxury Air Jordan 1 stand out. Pairing Sail, Brown and Black together, the sneaker has an OG feel with a modern twist. Black leather overlays are contrasted by Sail leather at the base to give this AJ1 its 1985 aesthetic. It is the Brown suede on the heel that has got a lot of people excited, giving this shoe its Travis Scott style. Of course, the traditional facing Swoosh sets this apart from the collaboration pair.
