When the Air Jordan 1 High OG WMNS “Lucky Green” was leaked all the way back in December 2019, sneakerheads around the world were ready to hand over their cash. Although the sneaker was originally rumoured to be an unofficial ode to the Nike SB Dunk “Heineken,” it seems that a real story behind the shoe has now surfaced. Thankfully, 10 months later, the “Lucky Green” Air Jordan 1 is finally set to release this week.
In Nike’s own words, the Lucky Green is “inspired by MJ’s iconic 63-point play-off game in Boston in 1986.” For those (like this author) who were not old enough to remember the game, the story is still important nevertheless. As you can see, the shoe boasts an OG feel with the traditional white leather and black accents. However, the bright green overlays used on the mudguard, ankle, collar and heel set this Jordan 1 apart. A bold red Wings logo adds a splash of colour, whilst a parquet floor-inspired insole is another hidden detail we’re all for.
If you like the look of the Air Jordan 1 High OG WMNS “Lucky Green” then good news. The shoe is set to release on Thursday 15th October for €160. Check out the official images below and let us know if you’ll cop these AJ1s.
