There are some sneakers that are simply timeless. From Nike Air Max 1s to adidas Superstars, the industry is filled with iconic pieces of design. In the world of basketball sneakers, there is only one line that’s the true king of sneakers: Air Jordan. As the Air Jordan 11 looks to turn 25 next year, Jordan Brand has been hard at work creating an anniversary shoe that sneakerheads won’t forget. Now, we’ve learned that the whole family is covered on this release.
Aptly named the Air Jordan 11 “25th Anniversary,” the upcoming shoe pays tribute to the legacy of Tinker Hatfield’s classic design. Featuring a combination of black patent leather and mesh, the shoe is adorned with metallic silver accents. Notable features include the use of “JORDAN” across the lace eyelets; something that has never been seen before. On the ankle, a metal Jumpman logo can also be seen, with the famous “23” on the heel.
Of course, that’s not all that the Air Jordan 11 “25th Anniversary” has in store. Replacing the traditional “23” lined insole is a new version, bearing the numbers “25.” As for now, there are no shots of the packaging, however, with this being such an important anniversary to celebrate, we are sure that Jordan Brand has something big in store.
The good news is that the Air Jordan 11 “25th Anniversary” will release in full family sizing later this year. A drop date of December 12th has been set, with adult pairs costing €220. Check out the first images below and let us know if you’ll cop these Air Jordan 11s.
