The sneaker world has been gripped by the fragment design x Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 High “Military Blue” for most of 2021. Originally thought to be an exclusive between Hiroshi Fujiwara and Travis Scott, the collaboration has been doing the rounds for a number of months now. Whilst there’s been images here and there, we’ve been waiting for the official Nike images. Thankfully, that day has now arrived.
We’re sure that you’ve seen this pair but if you haven’t, here’s a quick breakdown. fragment design and Travis Scott have teamed up to create arguably one of the hottest shoes this year. Combining both parties signatures, the shoe is a well-balanced collab. White and blue leather combines on the base and overlays, reminiscent of the fragment design AJ1. La Flame’s reversed Swoosh takes pride of place across the midsection, but the details don’t stop there.
As you’d expect, both Hiroshi and Travis have added a few more subtle additions. The heel tabs feature the Cactus Jack smiley on the left shoe and fragment thunderbolt on the right shoe. Alternating “Cactus Jack” and “fragment design” tongue tags can also be seen. Finally, a custom blue and white shoe box is wrapped in plastic and combines Cactus Jack, fragment design and Nike branding.
If you like the look of the fragment x Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 High “Military Blue” then get ready. According to sources, the pair will drop on July 29 for €175. Total stock is also rumoured to be around 50,000 pairs, making this more limited than the OG Travis Scott AJ1. For now, let’s just wait and see.
