Back in 1985, Nike unveiled the Air Jordan 1. Designed by Peter C. Moore, the sneaker was Michael Jordan’s first-ever signature silhouette. Originally released in a number of colourways, almost all of the OGs have seen a retro. However, one colourway, in particular, has always remained in the vaults of Jordan Brand; the “Neutral Grey.” Well, it looks like after a 35-year hiatus, the Air Jordan 1 “Neutral Grey” could be returning next year.
Whilst details are slim, rumours are suggesting that the Neutral Grey Air Jordan 1 will come back in 2021. Having never been reissued, the Neutral Grey 1s have remained a serious collector’s item and grail for many. The sneaker features a predominantly white leather upper and is contrasted by grey detailing on the ankle, Swoosh and branding. A crisp white midsole is also accented by the use of a grey outsole for good measure.
Although there has been no official confirmation just yet, a number of sources have begun to share the news. As one of the very few Air Jordan 1s that has yet to be reissued, it would be a big moment next year. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see. Check out the original “Neutral Grey” Jordan 1s and let us know if you’d like to see a return.
