Few Jordan Brand PEs are as sought after as the Air Jordan 5 “Oregon Ducks.” Originally given to the University of Oregon football team players, the pair has remained a grail for many sneakerheads. When news broke that another “Oregon Duck” Air Jordan 5 would be on the way this year, the community was excited. As close to the PE version as possible, Jordan Brand is finally giving people a chance at owning the mythical shoe. Now, we have official images of the upcoming sneaker.
Constructed in a premium green suede, the Jordan 5 features yellow and black accents, giving this shoe a true Oregon feel. Replacing the “O” found on the heel tab is a Jordan Team label, making this noticeably different to the PE. Other notable differences between this and the PE pair is the absence of a duck on the tongue. However, Jordan fans won’t mind too much. A 3M reflective tongue features a Jumpman, with an icy midsole unit using the motif too.
If you like the look of these Air Jordan 5s, then good news. The shoe is officially launching next month via Nike and Tier 0 retailers. As for now, no retail price has been set but we’d estimate these will cost between €190-€225. Check out the images from Nike below and let us know if you’ll cop these AJ5s.
