When the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 surfaced on Air Max Day, the sneaker community paid attention. Travis Scott and Nike have a long-standing relationship which has seen some slick sneakers and apparel release over the past four years. After tackling iconic silhouettes like the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 4 and Air Force 1, it made sense for a La Flame Air Max 1 to drop. Now, we have our first glimpse at one of the five colourways expected to release.
The real highlight of the Travis Scott Air Max 1 is the oversized reverse Swoosh. As one of the signatures featured across many Travis Scott x Nike shoes, it makes sense it would be on the AM1. Interestingly, this upcoming shoe features a completely unique design. New panels, a higher cut on the mudguard and links between sections can be seen. The updated lacing system hides the AM1 laces too.
Of course, you’d expect this Travis Scott sneaker to use a tonal colour scheme, which it does. Shades of brown, tan, and cream can be seen throughout. Splashes of red on the laces, tongue and connective straps can also be seen too. “Cactus Jack” patches on the heel come as standard, just in case you needed reminding over who this sneaker is by. Finally, a split midsole features brown and cream, with cream air units also visible on each side.
If you like the look of this Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 then sit tight. As it stands, all five colourways will release in the fall. Let’s just wait to see when that is. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop.
