Few characters in horror films are as revered as Freddy Krueger. Made famous by Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, the notorious villain is one of the most famous in Hollywood film. Over the past few years, Freddy Krueger has also been a muse for various sneakers. Whilst Nike may have got into trouble back in 2007 with the unofficial SB Dunk collab, it looks like they’re back at it again with this Air Max 95. That’s right, “Freddy Krueger” Air Max 95s are on the way.
It may not be as blatant as the Nike SB Dunk, but this knowing nod to Krueger is just as slick. The subtle colouring and textures work together to create a sleek sneaker. Neutral shades adorn the panelling, with a muted grey sockliner and toe creating a nice contrast from the olive and red. The miniature Swoosh on the heel is a bright red, with blood splatters of the same being found on the heel and tongue. Breaking all of this colour apart is a simple tan midsole, with bright red air units adding to the Krueger vibe on this Air Max 95.
If you like the look of the Nike Air Max 95 “Freddy Krueger,” then you’ve a little longer to wait. As for now, there is no official release date. However, given the theme of the sneaker, it will most likely drop in October. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop these Air Max 95s.
