It’s no surprise that the sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle has been one of the standout silhouettes this year. Since first being previewed all the way back in January, many sneakerheads have been waiting or the pair to drop. Although it’s been delay after delay, we now have confirmation that the first two pairs will release this week. That’s not the only good news that we’ve got though. Thankfully, detailed images of a “Sesame” Vaporwaffle have surfaced online.
Having surfaced at the sacai show all the way back in August, the “Sesame” colourway was quick to turn heads. Opting for a much more tonal approach to the double-stacked silhouette, this upcoming Vaporwaffle is perfect for the warmer months. The sesame upper adorns the canvas and suede, with a supple leather heel cage using the same tones. Bold contrasting features include the blue and white Swooshes on the mid panels, but it’s the double-detailing on the laces, tongue and midsole that bring this shoe to life.
At the moment, we don’t have a lot of information on the upcoming sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle “Sesame”. However, we do know that the pair will release in Spring 2021 for €180. Check out the first images below and let us know if you’ll cop.
