Drake is no stranger to his love of Nike and Jordans. As one of the most influential people on the planet, the Toronto native has had his fair share of exclusive sneakers from the two. Of course, he’s also a member of the Jordan Brand family, releasing six retail Tier 0 Jordans. With that being said, Drake has never had the opportunity on one of the world’s most iconic sneakers, the Air Force 1. Well, that could all be about to change.
Whilst details are just coming through, reports suggest that an OVO x Nike Air Force 1 collab could be dropping later this year. Drake and Nike’s relationship has long been documented, with the 6god sporting a number of 1-of-1 sneakers during his tour. With that in mind, it seems to make perfect sense that Drake works on the AF1. As of now, there are no official images or even any leaked ones. However, the mockups that we’ve seen could be pretty good at retail.
Given past experience with OVO Jordans, the branding is likely to be subtle. The instantly recognisable OVO Owl will surely feature throughout, possibly on the insole, tongue tag, heel and rear panel. A crisp white Air Force 1 seems to make the most sense, allowing the gold owl to take pride of place. No exact pricing or release info has been shared yet, so keep your eyes peeled.
