We’ve had some of the best women’s sneaker releases of the year drop this month. Over the past four weeks or so, we’ve seen some great women’s and size inclusive releases, something that we’re all for. As sneaker brands continue to make strides in moving towards better size inclusivity, the changes we’ve seen throughout 2021 so far are positive. Thankfully, April’s women’s sneaker drops gave us a lot to choose from, especially when it comes to colourful and collaborative pairs.
In order to help organise the madness, we’ve picked ten of our favourite women’s sneaker drops from April. Below, you’ll see just how crazy this month has been, with some very big releases all coming out over the past 4 weeks. Whether it’s sacai, A Ma Maniere or even Yeezy, it’s been a busy time. The good news is that if you missed any of these drops, you can get them all on KLEKT. Without further delay, let’s take a closer look at the best women’s sneaker drops this month!
Aleali May x Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT
Aleali May and Jordan Brand have been cooking up some crazy kicks over the last few years, with a big focus on ensuring that women get their fair share of exclusives. Dropping as part of the Califa Collection, the Aleali May x Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT was a smash hit this month. Premium green and blue leather overlays at the base are accented by a satin cut out Swoosh and a chenille Wings logo. The tan leather tongue, complete with a large “A”, works nicely with the green satin sockliner, putting a luxurious spin on this new AJ1 silhouette.
Nike Dunk Low WMNS “Easter”
It’s safe to say that 2021 looks to be the year of the Nike Dunk yet again. Alongside a string of great colourways, the recent “Easter” pair had to be one of our favourite colourways. Applying a mismatched aesthetic to the basketball silhouette, the Nike Dunk Low WMNS “Easter” uses pastel hues throughout for a distinctive look. The soft hues applied throughout work nicely together for a versatile Dunk, with a white base, white midsole and speckled yellow sole bringing it all together. Who else needs a pair of these?
Air Jordan 4 “University Blue”
Let’s face it, collegiate kicks aren’t going away any time soon. The Air Jordan 4 “University Blue” continues Jordan Brand’s affiliation with university inspired sneakers and we’re all for it. Dressed in a premium light blue suede, the Uni Blue Jordan 4 features OG style accents to bring this 1989 classic into 2021. An updated tongue tag, custom box and eye-catching blue upper make this a must-cop. With summer just around the corner, there’s never been a better time to invest in these AJ4s.
We’ve all been spending a lot more time at home recently and thankfully we had three Yeezy Slides drop to help us flex at home. Kanye West and adidas have been hard at work over the last few months behind the scenes with some new heat. However, arguably one of the biggest sneaker releases this month wasn’t a sneaker at all, but rather three pairs of Yeezy Slides dropping. The trio of colours saw the “Core,” “Pure,” and “Resin” all release and sell out almost instantly.
sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle “Dark Iris” and “Sesame Blue”
Pretty much the entire sneaker community has been waiting for the sacai x Nike Vapowaffle “Dark Iris” and “Sesame Blue” to drop. Chitose Abe’s now-iconic double-stacked design has been hyped up to be one of the hottest drops this month, and for good reason. The updated nylon upper features premium suede and leather overlays to create a memorable look. Thankfully the familiar duplicate tongues, laces, midsoles and Swooshes all come as standard, meaning these are every bit as good as the originals.
Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT “Lucky Bull”
Arguably one of the most underrated pairs this month was the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT “Lucky Bull.” Continuing the string of great AJ1 Zoom CMFT colourways, the pair was always going to be a big hit. A white canvas base is contrasted by rich green suede overlays to create a bold colourway that we love. Black accents on the laces, Wings logo and collar ensure that this shoe is versatile yet still wearable. Finally, the exposed foam tongue and updated tongue tag bring this shoe to a close. Prices on these are relatively cheap right now and these are definitely a pair we’d cop for summer.
Air Jordan 1 Low SE WMNS “Barely Green”
Sometimes less really is more. The Air Jordan 1 Low SE WMNS “Barely Green” was always going to be a hit with the sneaker commuinity. Opting for a very light green throughout the shoe, a mixture of woven textured fabric, suede and leather come together to create one of the slickest AJ1 Lows we’ve seen in a while. Contrasting black and pink accents also give the a nice balance, with the white midsole and light green sole bringing it all together. These are a must-cop.
adidas Yeezy Boost 700 “Bright Blue”
If you’re looking for a statement sneaker then look no further. The adidas Yeezy Boost 700 “Bright Blue” is arguably the boldest shoe to drop this month. Taking Kanye’s favoured chunky dad sneaker, the shoe certainly deserves its “Bright Blue” moniker. A combination of mesh, suede and leather all combine in the vibrant blue hue to give the shoe a vivid look. Cutting through all the blue is an equally as bright orange Boost midsole, making this an eye-catching pair of Yeezys.
Air Jordan 1 High OG “Hyper Royal”
There was no way we could make this list without the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Hyper Royal” making the cut. Arguably one of the best Air Jordan 1 releases of the year, the shoe was a smash hit. A neutral white and grey leather base uses a washed blue suede across the overlays with killer results. Cutting through the blue is a white tongue and white laces whilst being offset by a bold blue tongue tag. It didn’t take long for these to sell out and, quite frankly, we can see why.
A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 3 “Raised by Women”
Quite simply put, this is the best sneaker to release this month – period. The A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 3 “Raised by Women” is a blueprint for how a sneaker collaboration should be executed. Inspired by his mother and all mothers, James Whitner ensured that this collab was perfect from start to finish. Premium materials, subtle features, a great story and a whole bunch of hype make sure that the A Ma Maniere Jordan 3 will be one for the history books. The prices on these are only going one way, so make sure you cop on KLEKT before its too late!
