New Balance has had arguably it’s biggest year ever in 2020. The Boston-born sportswear brand has kicked off the new decade with a bang. Collaborations with the likes of Kith, Casablanca and Joe Freshgoods have allowed New Balance to thrive. Fortunately, it doesn’t look like the collabs are stopping any time soon. After months of teasing, we now have a confirmed release date for the JJJJound x New Balance 992.
Dropping in two colourways, the JJJJound x New Balance 992 has quickly become one of the year’s most hyped NBs. The upcoming sneakers will drop in two colourways and on two different days. First up, we have the neutral grey and beige pair is set to launch on July 24th, whilst the all-green version will drop on the 31st. As you would expect from previous JJJJound x New Balance collaborations, the details are very slick.
Both 992s feature a combination of suede, mesh and leather. The well-balanced sneakers utilise a set of cream laces and a comfortable midsole, complete with contrasting cream and white colour scheme. Of course, the subtle elements make this sneaker too. An embroidered “JJJJound” replaces the traditional “New Balance” on the heel, rounding off this well thought out sneaker.
