The Easter Bank Holiday may be over, but that doesn’t mean that there’s nothing to look forward too. Yes, you don’t get an extra day in bed. Yes, you don’t get a four day weekend again. But there are enough sneaker drops to certainly make this week easier to get through. Everyone from Yeezy to Jordan Brand is getting involved in this week’s releases. Take a closer look at the best sneaker drops this week and let us know what you plan on picking up.
Air Jordan 6 “DMP” – Saturday, 18th April
First released back in 2006 as part of the Air Jordan 6 “Defining Moments Pack”, the Air Jordan 6 DMP makes a return on Saturday. The AJ6 is a homage to Michael Jordan’s championship-winning sneakers. Using an all-black nubuck upper, the silhouette features gold accents on the heel tab, midsole and a custom hangtag. With this being the first time that a DMP sneaker has been reissued, expect these to be a big release this weekend.
adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Linen” – Saturday, April 18th
Continuing Yeezy’s release schedule this weekend is the “Linen” adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2. This sneaker plays on Kanye’s favoured earthy palette in 2020. Although it may look similar to the “Butter” Yeezy 350, there are some notable differences. The use of a blue sock liner and stripe, as well as a gum outsole, gives this sneaker an added edge. Dropping in full family sizing this weekend, this is a must cop.
Nike Air Max 95 “Greedy 2.0” – Wednesday, April 15th
The second “Greedy” Air Max 95 is set to drop midweek, much to the delight of Air Max fans. Four classic AM95 colourways can be seen on this sneaker in the form of the “Hot Red”, “Aqua”, “Slate Blue” and “Neon”. However, the use of the classic “Gunsmoke/Grey Fog” is what sets the sneaker apart from its predecessor. This is certainly one Air Max 95 that you won’t regret copping.
Air Jordan 4 “Rasta” – Thursday, April 16th
Jordan Brand is dropping a nice women’s exclusive this week. Dubbed the “Rasta” Air Jordan 4, the sneaker looks like a classic Cement but features some clever updates. A white tumbled leather creates the perfect backdrop for this bold AJ4 to work against. Red, yellow, green and black accents can be spotted throughout the shoe. If you’re looking to pick these up, good luck.
Yeezy Slide – Thursday, April 16th
With us all spending a lot more time in the house at the moment now’s the time to invest in some good slides. Fortunately enough, Yeezy is dropping some this week. The “Resin” Slides are a subtle flex and add to the versatility of the adidas Yeezy line. You can cop yours on Thursday.
Casablanca x New Balance 327 “Idealiste” – Saturday, April 18th
Since debuting at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year, Casablanca’s New Balance collaboration has taken the world by storm. Now, the long wait to cop is almost over. Taking inspiration from 1970s sports cars, the sneaker features white perforated leather and an extended sole. Premium suede can be spotted on the heel, toe and side panels. It’s the large New Balance “N” motif that makes these so eye-catching, however. Definitely one for the fashionistas amongst us.
If you’re looking to pick up any of this week’s releases, then good luck! As always, keep it locked to the KLEKT Blog for more drop updates and the latest sneaker news.
