When a Patta x New Balance collaboration was rumoured last month, the sneaker community began to get excited. As one of the key brands in streetwear, Patta has always ensured its sneaker collabs are a home run. Though it may have worked with the likes of ASICS, Jordan and Nike, Patta has never collaborated with New Balance. Now, that all looks to be changing. After a few teasers, we now have our first look at the upcoming Patta x New Balance 920.
Keeping things perfectly autumnal, Patta has decorated the 920 in earthy tones. Varying shades of chocolate brown adorn most of the shoe, with premium materials such as suede, leather and nubuck all being used. A light brown mesh allows breathability and a matching set of laces are a nice touch. In terms of branding, Patta has gone all out. “PATTA 920” can be seen on the heel, with a simple “P” motif sitting on the tongue for good measure. Comfort is also key on this sneaker with an ENCAP midsole coming as standard.
News of the Patta x New Balance 920 collaboration has mostly been shared through word of mouth. The guerrilla marketing campaign has seen the shoe plastered on the streets of Amsterdam via posters, but not much else. However, the good news is that we do have a confirmed release date for the Patta New Balance collaboration, rather aptly on September 20th, or 9.20 if you’re from the US.
