It’s going to be a big year for a few Nike models this year. The Air Max 90 and Air Jordan 5 are both turning 30 and the increasing popularity of the Dunk has meant that a string of exciting releases are already planned. It seems as though the Swoosh already has some exciting plans lined up too, with the latest Nike SB Dunk Low taking inspiration from one of the most iconic sneakers of all time; the Air Max 90.
Thanks to the world of Instagram, we have a closer look at the ‘Infrared’ SB Dunk Low; a shoe that seamlessly blends the classic colour scheme of the AM90 with the rebellious skate silhouette. Though the original Dunk may be older the Air Max III (yes, the Air Max III was the original name) the colour scheme of the latter is without a doubt one of the most instantly recognisable on the planet.
Nike has created a perfect homage to the running shoe on this latest SB Dunk Low, using the same combination of premium materials and reworking them with relative ease. The white mesh, light grey suede and black leather is allowed to thrive throughout, with infrared accents making their way to the sole, heel tab and tongue for this sleek mashup.
Rumoured to be a skate shop exclusive, these upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low sneakers have an estimated drop date of January 20th for £80/€100.
