There are very few people in streetwear as influential as Jerry Lorenzo. The Californian born designer created one of the most revered labels in fashion, Fear of God, just seven years ago. Since then, it has been worn by the likes of Kanye West and Justin Bieber, kickstarting a monumental career path for Lorenzo. In 2018, Fear of God and Nike linked up to create a high fashion sneaker; the Nike Air Fear of God 1. Thankfully, we now have a closer look at an all-black iteration of the popular silhouette.
Using the FOG1s familiar materials such as suede, mesh and leather, this all-black version creates a sleek looking silhouette. A black cage houses the shoe, with a leather toe and mesh upper bringing the upper together. Black rope laces, black zip and a black Swoosh on the medial side add to the stealthy allure of this sneaker. An all-black midsole has been used, with a dark Air Unit being on display.
Set to cost £300/€350, you can expect these to be one of the biggest releases this month. Check out the official images from Nike below and let us know if you’ll be picking these up.
