It’s an exciting time down at Yeezy HQ. John Wexler, the man responsible for bringing Kanye to adidas, recently took over the Yeezy operations. Steven Smith, one of the world’s greatest sneaker designers, is now a part of the team too. Improving on one of the most popular silhouettes in the adidas Yeezy line is tough. However, the introduction of the MNVN iteration has managed to do just that. Thankfully, sneakerheads don’t have to wait long to get their next pair.
When images first released of the adidas Yeezy 700 MNVN “Orange” they quickly drew the attention of the sneaker world. A stripped-back, minimalistic yet vibrant approach to the popular dad shoe was a breath of fresh air. Well, this particular shoe is set to release this Saturday at select locations around the globe; building on the recent regional exclusive approach taken by Yeezy.
A combination of bright orange nylon is accented with 3M reflective details. The use of a large “700” graphic across the medial side is the only clue as to what this model is, though the familiar Boost midsole also helps out. Furthermore, it’s nice to see Yeezy experiment with new fabrics and updated designs. A sleek tongue unit, complete with thin rope laces, is a new touch from the Chicago native and his team.
Dropping in full family sizing in Paris, Los Angeles and Shanghai, this is going to be a tough cop.
