It’s been a busy start to the year for Stüssy and Nike. The two kickstarted the year by announcing an upcoming capsule collection and relaunched an early 00s Nike silhouette; the Air Zoom Spiridon Caged 2. Having sold out in seconds, sneakerheads have been feeling a little salty about not being able to cop. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait much longer. An official release date for the next Stüssy x Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Caged 2 “Black/Cool Grey” has been revealed.
Unlike its predecessors, the “Black/Cool Grey” takes a slightly different approach. The familiar black mesh and canvas can be seen on throughout the upper, giving the sneaker a stealthy look. Co-branding can be seen on the tongue as well as on the toe box. On the heel, a small “Stüssy” logo can be seen in the same sleek black. Unlike the previous collaborations, this sneaker opts for a grey Zoom Cushioning Unit, finishing off the Nike silhouette nicely.
If you’re looking to cop these, be prepared. The Stüssy x Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Caged 2 “Black/Cool Grey” will release exclusively on Stüssy’s web store on Friday, May 15th.
