The return of the Nike SB Dunk has been fantastic to see. A new generation of sneakerheads has been opened up to a whole world of sneakers. After rising to fame in the 2000s, the Nike SB Dunk has remained a staple for many older collectors. With Travis Scott championing the sneaker line over the past few years, it’s clear to see the effect is is having. Now, Nike is cooking up some of the most creative SB Dunks seen in a while. This “Denim” SB Dunk Low is certainly one of the craziest.
Whilst many sneakerheads will know that denim Dunks are not new. Originally used by Reese Forbes in 2003, denim dunks have become a fan favourite of skaters and sneaker fans alike. This 2020 version takes on a completely different approach. Contrasting shades of heavy-duty denim and suede are contrasted by stitch lines throughout the upper. In fact, Nike has forgone a traditional Swoosh altogether, using a stitched version instead. A white midsole paired with a gum outsole rounds this slick sneaker off.
Although there is no release information on these just yet, early reports suggest the shoe will drop later this year. As always, head back to the KLEKT Blog for more information on this story as it breaks. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop these SB Dunks.
