There are few people as influential in the world of sneakers as Ronnie Fieg. For over 10 years, the New York-native has created some of the most sought after shoes of all time. He was the man responsible for making the ASICS Gel-Lyte III a serious contender in the US market. Late last year, however, Fieg unveiled a friends and family Nike Air Force 1. Now, however, it looks like another Kith x Nike Air Force 1 could be on the way.
Originally unveiled in March, the Kith x Nike Air Force 1 has been doing the rounds on social media. Although Fieg has worked with Nike for a number of years, this is only the second Air Force 1 that he has had the opportunity to create. With that in mind, Fieg has taken no chances in making sure he gets this shoe just right.
A combination of White, University Red and Metallic Gold, the upcoming Kith x Air Force 1 is a masterpiece. Using a crisp white upper allows the pops of red on the satin sock liner, tongue, heel and mini Swoosh at the mudguard to really shine. Subtle textures can be seen on the quarter panels, with debossed “Kith” branding adding a slick element to this shoe. Embroidered Swooshes as well as a simple “Kith Air” on the back finish this shoe off nicely, with a contrasting cream midsole bringing it all together.
Whilst these official images mark the release date is close, no official date has yet been confirmed. For now, you’ll just have to check out the AF1 images below and hope that it’s soon.
