Earlier this year, Casablanca unveiled a never before seen New Balance silhouette during its Paris Fashion Week presentation. The “327” as it would come to be known, was an instant hit in the fashion community. Inspired by 70s sports cars, the sneaker was unlike anything New Balance had done before. Since then, many have been patiently waiting to see whether more Casablanca x New Balance 327s would be on the way. Thankfully, two more colourways are coming.
Officially unveiled by Casablanca last night, the second iteration of the “Idéaliste” is already getting people excited. Continuing the French-Moroccan labels love affair with basic colour schemes, the two new colourways are simple yet effective.
Up first is a white and cream Casablanca 327. Using well-balanced cream suede against a soft white perforated leather, the sneaker is a close homage to the original green colourway. The instantly recognisable “N” motif uses a green border on the outside, as well as an orange “NB” on the tongue. A cream outsole extends up the heel and finishes this tonal sneaker off nicely. Simplicity is key, it seems.
The second 327 colourway opts for a different approach. A combination of grey suede overlays and white perforated leather make the perfect base for black and soft pink accents. The large black “N” emblem adorns the side of the midsection, drawing the eye immediately. Using a white midsole, the sneaker features a splash of pink and a large black outsole which joins up at the heel. This is definitely the bolder of the two Casablanca collabs.
Set to release on September 12th via the Casablanca web store, this is going to be one of the best drops this month. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop.
