It’s been a very busy year for Nike SB. After experiencing a monumental rise in popularity thanks to the likes of Travis Scott, the SB Dunk Low has come back with a bang. A number of hyped releases with the names such as Ben & Jerry’s, Grateful Dead and Strangelove Skateboards have certainly helped make this year the year of the Dunk. As well as big collaborations, Nike SB has also been issuing a number of slick colourways of their own. One of those, the “Denim Gum,” is finally dropping next week.
Whilst denim Dunks are not new (Reese Forbes first signature Nike SB Dunk Low was covered in denim), they are certainly tough to get right. However, Nike has got this denim Dunk spot on. Contrasting denim and suede come together to create a well-balanced looking sneaker. Instead of a traditional Swoosh, Nike has included a stitched version too.
This embroidery also adorns the heel, toe and mudguard, with star holes punched into the toe box. Other subtle details include the stitched tongue tag, a nice change from the traditional version on most Dunks. Rounding the upper off is a set of thick cream laces for good measure. The “Gum” element on this sneaker can be seen on the sole, which sits below a cream midsole section.
If you like the look of these Nike SB Dunk Lows, then we have some good news. The “Denim Gum” Dunks will drop on August 1st for €110. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop these Dunks.
