Once every so often, Jordan Brand athletes will get treated to pairs that nobody else on the planet can get. These Player Exclusives (PEs) are often some of the most sought after pairs of Jordans. Whether it’s for the Oregon Ducks or Motorsports, Jordan Brand knows how to make a stellar PE. Over the past few years, we’ve seen some pretty crazy Air Jordan PEs. However, we may have just found our favourite so far. Debuted by Jordan Brand athlete, Dexter Fowler, we have a look at a baseball-inspired AJ5.
Inspired by all things baseball, this pair of Air Jordan 5s is like any other on the planet. For starters, an entire canvas upper features throughout, replacing the traditional leather found on most Jordan 5s. Navy and red make up the trim, with a special embroidered “Jordan” adorning both heels; which you’ll notice looks like a traditional varsity jacket. The aged yellow mesh is another fine detail, with this same yellow being used on the toe. On the tongue, the words “JRDN BSBL” can be seen as well as the edition number, in Fowler’s case “10 of 12.”
With this being a Jordan Brand baseball PE, these are most likely never going to be seen by anyone other than baseball athletes. Unfortunately, owning a pair of these is most likely never going to happen. We can all dream though. Check out the images below and let us know if you’d cop these Air Jordan 5 PEs.
