For any serious sneakerhead, the image of Michael Jordan in the Air Jordan 6 “Carmine” will be burned into their brain. As the first sneaker that earned His Airness an NBA Championship, the Jordan 6 is an important part of MJ’s career. Although there have been numerous retros of the AJ6, they’ve all opted to use the updated Jumpman on the heel. However, that all looks to be changing in 2021. We now have confirmation that the “Carmine” Jordan 6 will drop with Nike Air on the back.
This sneaker really needs no introduction but we’ll give you a quick history lesson. Constructed in white leather and contrasted with bright red nubuck on the panels, the “Carmine” is a perfect representation of Michael Jordan’s career. Padded ankle supports allow for quick turns, whilst the heel tab and tongue offer an easy solution to putting these on. An iced sole is an updated touch, but this 2021 retro has remained close to the OG. Complete with “Nike Air” on the heel, this is going to be one for the OG Jordan fans.
The news of the Air Jordan 6 “Carmine” making a return is big in the sneaker community. For now, a rumoured release date of February 13th has been set, making these a perfect Valentines Day sneaker. Rumoured to cost around €200, these are a must-cop for us. Check out the first images below and let us know if you’ll cop these Jordans.
