After previewing back in November, the Air Jordan 4 WMNS “Starfish” quickly became one of the most anticipated releases of the new year. Made exclusively for women, the pair gained a lot of attention from pretty much the entire sneaker community. With the release date edging ever closer, we’re now starting to see a large number of stockists secure the “Starfish”. Being one of the best new AJ4s to date, it’s easy to see why.
Inspired by the 1989 Air Jordan 4 “Bred”, the “Starfish” is a 21st century take on this iconic silhouette. Wrapped in technical fabrics inspired by spacesuits, the shoe utilises a black and orange upper throughout. The “Starfish Orange” hue to the upper earns the shoe its name, with matte black TPU accents being used on the heel and ankle straps. OG style black mesh can be spotted on the sides for good measure too. However, it’s the orange Jumpman on the tongue that catches our eye more. A grey midsole features an orange sole and rounds off this subtle Air Jordan 4 colourway and starts a big year for women’s Jordans.
