When it comes to sneakers, Nike has always gone big on the Chinese New Year celebrations. Over the past decade or so Nike’s commitment to CNY kicks has gone through the roof. Following on from a successful Year of the Rat pack in 2020, Nike is rolling out its Year of the Ox pack in tremendous style. Although there are a number of big sneakers dropping, we’re probably right in guessing that everyone’s favourite is the Nike Dunk Low “Firecracker”.
As the Dunk continues to be a huge silhouette in 2021, Nike is launching the “Firecracker” just in time. Designed to look just like firecracker wrapping paper, the shoe is extremely bold. Graphic laden blue and aqua leather uppers feature pop art style artwork throughout, with phrases like “That’s Bangin” being a nod to this sneakers muse. Updated tongue tags feature “Caution” on the right shoe and a Nike label on the left. A white midsole with a lucky red sole finishes this explosive Nike Dunk off, getting the CNY celebrations well under way.
If you like the look of the upcoming Nike Dunk Low CNY “Firecracker”, then sit tight. As for now, a February 12th release date has been rumoured alongside a €110 price tag.
