Nike’s ACG line is arguably one of the most underrated in sneakers. Since first starting it’s All Conditions Gear (ACG), the subdivision of Nike has gained cult-like status amongst some sneakerheads. Founded in 1989 (or 1988) depending on who you ask, ACG has been a key part of Nike’s success in unfamiliar territories. In 2021, Nike ACG has really gone up a gear. The utility approach to its designs has made it a big success so far. Now, Haven has revealed an exclusive Nike ACG Mountain Fly Low dropping this weekend.
Whilst Nike ACG may have only just left the hands of Errolson Hugh, it’s already making a lot of noise. The latest Haven x Nike ACG Mountain Fly Low looks extremely well-made for whatever the elements can throw at you. Taking the low top shape, a first for the Mountain Fly, Haven has kept things relatively simple. A combination of ripstop fabric and reflective taping ensures that the shoe is ideal for trails or pavements, giving the wearer ultimate protection.
In order to really understand the technology that’s gone into this Haven x Nike shoe, you have to look a little deeper. The thick midsole unit features chevron lugs on the sole that wrap onto the toe to provide grip against the elements. A set of carbon fibre plates, found on the NEXT% line, are also found between the midsole to provide strength and a lightweight ride. Minimalistic branding can be seen on the heel, bringing this Nike ACG sneaker to a close.
If you’re feeling the Haven x Nike ACG Mountain Fly Low then there’s good news. The sneaker will drop on January 30th for around €190. Check out the official images below and let us know if you’ll cop these Haven x Nike ACGs.
