Originally released in 1985, the Air Jordan 1 “Metallic Purple” has remained a favourite amongst sneakerheads for the best part of nearly four decades. Dropping as part of the OG Metallic Pack, the regal-looking Air Jordan 1 is something of a collector’s pair. With the Air Jordan 1 “Neutral Grey” set to make a return next week, it looks like 2021 is the return of favourites. Now, it looks as though the AJ1 “Metallic Purple” will be dropping in June, this time as a women’s exclusive.
The upcoming retro features the same white and purple Air Jordan colour blocking that we all know and love. A white leather base is accented by well-balanced purple accents on the Swoosh, colour, tongue and Wings logo. Staying almost identical to the OG, the pair even comes equipped with a white midsole and purple outsole. However, adding a new sense of luxury to this AJ1 is a purple satin sockliner. With this being a retro, you can be sure these are going to be a big hit this summer.
If you like the look of the Air Jordan 1 “Metallic Purple” then sit tight. Right now, the pair will release on June 3rd for around €170. All we can say is that we can’t wait to see this in person. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop these Jordan 1s.
