We’ve seen a string of summer-ready sneakers grace the footwear world over the past few months, but the Air Jordan 1 “Pollen” could be the brightest so far. Since first being previewed towards the end of 2020, the sneaker community has been patiently waiting to see more of the shoe. Although it’s been a relatively quiet time for this particular AJ1, things look to be changing fairly soon. In fact, we now have detailed images of this upcoming Jordan 1.
Taking an already iconic colour scheme for its construction, the “Pollen” bears a striking resemblance to the University of Iowa Nike Dunk. Black and yellow leather overlays come together to create a classic look on the AJ1 and make us wonder why it was never done before. It’s also good to see that Jordan Brand hasn’t let the premium look and feel of this Jordan 1 go to waste. Tumbled leather adorns the base whilst smooth leather creates a nice contrast. The black mesh tongue is also accented by yellow laces and a matching tongue tag with great results. Finally, a white midsole and yellow sole bring this sleek AJ1 to a close.
If you like the look of the Air Jordan 1 “Pollen” then there’s a while longer to wait. According to sources, the shoe is expected to drop on August 21st for €170. Given the quality of this particular AJ1, we wouldn’t be surprised if it was an instant sell-out. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop these Jordan 1s.
