We don’t know about you, but we’re absolutely loving the Nike Dunk High “Sports Specialties”. Although it seemingly came out of nowhere, the pair is already looking like a must cop for the more nostalgic sneakerheads amongst us. Often considered one of the holy periods for sneaker culture, the 80s and 90s had some wild fashion moments. Now, Nike is keeping vintage sportswear alive through this Dunk.
If you know your sportswear, you’ll know that Nike’s Sports Specialities line was huge in the 80s and 90s. Nike has drawn inspiration from the collection, particularly the caps. Opting for a combination of leather and corduroy, the Swoosh is taking us straight back to the past. Crisp white leather works with contrasting navy and green cord for a killer result. Panels on the heel read “Official Nike Basketball Merchandise” and a “Sports Specialties” logo replaces the usual Dunk tongue. Finally, a graphic insole reads “One Size Fits Most” – a nod to the original caps.
Right now, there’s not a lot of release information on the Nike Dunk High “Sports Specialties”. According to sources, the shoe will drop fairly soon for €110. All we do know is that these are going to be popular amongst the OG collectors. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop these Dunk Highs.
