Since Elliott Hill took over as CEO in 2024, Nike has reaffirmed its commitment to innovation in footwear. This commitment is taken to the next level on the all-new Nike Mind line, the product of ten years of development, debuting with the Nike Mind 001 mule and 002 sneaker.
The true science of the Mind line can be seen on the sole, which features 22 waterproof foam nodes. Each of the foam nodes is specifically designed to react to every step and press against your feet.
This isn’t just for comfort; this is where the ‘Mind’ part comes into play. The Mind platform is Nike’s first line based entirely around neuroscience, designed to give you a feel for whatever you’re doing and lock into the perfect pregame mindset.
As you can imagine, a project with this massive ten-year scale has some huge names behind it. These include Creative Director of Innovation, Eric Avar, the ‘mad scientist’ behind Nike’s groundbreaking Air Foamposite and Kobe’s famous signature basketball line. The Mind line also has the backing of star athletes, including Nike ambassador Erling Haaland, who’s been testing the shoes for five years.
