Supreme has officially unveiled its first major Nike collaboration of Spring 2026: a reworked version of the Air Max CB 94 Low, built in partnership with Nike SB. It’s a crossover that pulls two very different worlds together – 90s basketball heritage and New York streetwear royalty – and the result is one of the most talked-about drops of the season. The pack launches globally on 5 March.
The Silhouette: A 90s Classic Gets a Street-Ready Makeover
The Air Max CB 94 is one of Nike’s most recognisable retro basketball silhouettes. Originally designed as Charles Barkley’s signature performance shoe, it was known for its aggressive leather overlays and chunky visible Air Max cushioning. Supreme has taken that rugged DNA and adapted the Low version for a new context entirely.
According to Supreme’s official product description, the shoe features a premium leather upper contrasted by perforated reflective mesh underlays – a detail that completely transforms the look when hit with light. The construction includes a durable rubber outsole with a classic visible heel airbag, TPU logos at the underheel, and a padded mesh and elastic tongue fitted with moulded logo eyelets and a rubber tongue logo patch.
Co-branding runs throughout the design. Expect a debossed Swoosh on the sidewall, embroidered and embossed logos across the heel, a webbing heel loop stamped with a printed logo, and a co-branded footbed. Supreme’s signature touch is felt at every turn, but it never overwhelms the silhouette. The colourways and materials do the heavy lifting.
Three Colourways, Three Different Statements
The collection drops in three distinct colourways, each with its own character:
- Black (IM4283-001) – The stealthiest option of the three. Clean, versatile, and built for everyday rotation.
- White (IM4283-100) – The most classic skate aesthetic of the pack. Crisp leather with gum sole accents and hits of red.
- Metallic Gold (IM4283-700) – The standout collector’s piece. Loud without being gimmicky, this one is made for those who want to be seen.
The Supreme x Nike SB Air Max 2 CB 94 Low Pack will be available exclusively through Supreme’s online store at supreme.com and Supreme brick-and-mortar locations on Thursday, 5 March. The Asia release follows on Saturday, 7 March, through the same channels. As with all Supreme drops, availability will be extremely limited. The pack follows Supreme’s weekly drop format, meaning stock is unlikely to hang around.
Why This Drop Matters
Supreme and Nike collaborations rarely need an explanation. The combination alone is enough to guarantee attention. But this particular project has real substance behind the hype. The CB 94’s history as a performance powerhouse gives it natural credibility in the skate space. Its leather build, thick cushioning, and structural durability are traits that translate directly into what Nike SB looks for in its footwear. This is also the first time the Air Max 2 CB 94 Low has ever received the Nike SB treatment, making the pack a genuine first in sneaker history.
The reflective perforations are the kind of detail that earns a second look. From certain angles, the uppers appear subtle and understated. Flash a camera at them, and the entire shoe lights up. That kind of layered design thinking is what separates a genuinely great collab from a simple rebrand.
