When rumours began swirling that an Off-White™ x Air Jordan 4 would drop, the sneaker world was excited. Having been unveiled at Virgil Abloh’s Figures of Speech exhibit at the MCA, the cream sample pair was a firm favourite. Also on display was the classic Bred colourway, with Abloh’s signature twists taking pride of place. Originally thought to be just a sample, it looks as though the Off-White™ Bred 4s could be releasing later this year.
The basis of the colourway has remained the same, with a black upper being accented with red features. However, Abloh has updated the silhouette with subtle touches. Translucent tech straps, eyelets and a heel tab have all been used. On the upper, a similar nylon material adorns the toe box, similar to the material used on the Off-White™ Air Jordan 5.
The midsole unit is cream, with a semi-translucent outsole being used and accented nicely through the familiar red hits on the toe and heel. Sneakerheads will note that there is a distinct lack of Abloh’s Off-White™ text on the shoe. In fact, only the midsole has “AIR” placed on the side, with the laces and medial side using none at all.
Although the information surrounding the release is scarce, early reports suggest that Off-White™ Breds could be dropping in August. Keep it locked to KLEKT where we’ll update you on this story as more breaks.
