Nike and the University of Oregon have a long-standing relationship. As Nike founder Phil Knight attended the American college, where he met track king Bill Bowerman, it’s easy to see why. Of course, this has meant that Oregon has had its fair share of exclusive sneakers. Well, it looks as though we could be seeing an “Oregon Ducks” Air Jordan 5 drop later this year.
Although details are slim, early reports suggest that an Oregon Ducks AJ5 will be releasing in September. This is not the first time that Jordan has honoured schools with exclusive sneakers. However, given that Oregon Air Jordans are usually reserved for athletes and students, this is big news.
The colourway set to release will use Oregon’s iconic school colours; green, yellow and black. Sources indicate that the sneaker will use primarily green nubuck and will be contrasted by a black tongue and grey panelling. The black midsole will feature yellow shark teeth and sit atop an icy midsole.
