Jordan Brand has started off 2020 in spectacular fashion. The recent launch of the Air Jordan 1 “Court Purple” as well as the return of the Air Jordan 4 “Black Cat” has got sneakerheads excited. With the recent announcement of the Summer 20 line-up, there is still more to come. However, one particular Air Jordan 1 High has got a lot of people talking; the “Light Smoke Grey.”
Taking a different approach to regular Air Jordan 1s, the “Light Smoke Grey” uses suede overlays on the upper. The contrasting white and black leather base leaves room for grey suede to work over the top in a well-balanced and subtle way. Of course, the inclusion of a red ankle also helps, giving a nouveau vintage vibe to this particular AJ1. The white midsole, partnered with a black Swoosh and a black sole also helps the colours to pop with ease.
It’s easy to draw the comparison to the upcoming Air Dior, but that’s an easy connection to make. This premium take on the iconic silhouette has not gone unnoticed in the sneaker world. Whilst the “Bred” collar may seem like a forced addition, we’re all for it.
Rumoured to release in July for an estimated €170, these Jordans are a must cop for sure. Check out the early images and let us know if you’re feeling these.
