Having first dropped in 1990, the Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red” became one of the hottest sneakers in history. Fans like Will Smith helped to pioneer the chunky Jordan silhouette a big hit with the masses. It’s been a long time coming, but the Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red” is almost here. After a seven-year hiatus, the sneaker will be returning in its original form.

Taking the classic model, Jordan Brand has decided to reissue this sneaker properly. The traditional white leather base is accented by white mesh and a large 3M reflective tongue, which features a red Jumpman. Furthermore, a black midsole unit has eye-catching red shark teeth and an icy outsole to bring it into the 21st century. Of course, the real talking point on this sneaker is the return of the “Nike Air” on the back.

Releasing in full family sizing on Saturday, May 2nd, the “Fire Red” Air Jordan 5 is a must cop. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll be picking these up.
