Jonah Hill is undoubtedly one of the most underrated style icons in the world. Over the past six years, the 36-year-old has experienced a huge growth in popularity thanks to his instantly recognisable fashion sense. After inking an exclusive deal with adidas Originals earlier this year, Hill has been patiently waiting to release his collaborative Superstar. However, it looks as though we could be seeing another Jonah Hill adidas shoe soon too.
As an ardent fan of the adidas Samba, it seems the logical step for Hill to get his own version of it. Much the same as his adidas Superstar collaboration, Hill has used premium materials and subtle detailing throughout to create a unique sneaker. Luxury leather is contrasted by equally as plush suede making for a well-balanced shoe. A rich green colour has been used throughout, making for a Samba unlike any other.
You can see references back to the Superstar collaboration, most notably on the heel and side. Replacing the traditional gold “Samba” is an embroidered, handwritten font bearing the same name. On the heel, lime green stitching underlines the tab. This simple detail adds something extra to this silhouette.
