It’s easy to say that Sean Wotherspoon is one of the most important people in streetwear. Having burst onto the global stage in 2017 with his Nike Air Max Vote Forward submission, Wotherspoon has remained a key figure in the industry. Although his work with the Swoosh may have ended, his career with adidas is taking off. After dropping the “SUPEREARTH” Superstar just last month, we now have more images of the upcoming Sean Wotherspoon x adidas ZX8000.
Whilst the Sean Wotherspoon ZX8000s may not be new (they’ve been teased for months now!), it’s taken a while to get good pictures of the upcoming sneaker. Thankfully, Wotherspoon himself has given us a helping hand. Much like his Superstar collab, this ZX8000 features stacked adidas Trefoil logos across the midsection in bright colours. Elsewhere, recycled fabrics have been used, continuing the “SUPEREARTH” project on another classic adidas silhouette.
On the heel, co-branded logos can be seen, with Wotherspoon’s peace symbol replacing the traditional adidas logo. The real highlight on this shoe, however, is its colour pops. A mismatch combination of colours and patterns gives this shoe an added edge, continuing Wotherspoon’s love affair with vibrant tones. Bringing the shoe to a close is a tartan tongue emblazoned with “SUPEREARTH.”
If you like the look of the Sean Wotherspoon x adidas ZX8000 “SUPEREARTH,” then you’ll have to wait a little longer. At the moment, there are no further details on the drop but check back to KLEKT where we’ll update. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop these adidas ZX sneakers.
