When a surprise collaboration between LEGO and adidas on a ZX8000 was rumoured earlier this year, the sneaker community was excited to see the end result. Dropping as part of the revitalised 2008 A-ZX line, adidas has given LEGO the letter L. As you can probably imagine, the LEGO x adidas ZX8000 has been one of the most playful collaborations this year. After weeks of hype, the sneaker is finally dropping later this weekend.
“L stands for LEGO PLAY” was enough to get us hyped for what was to come. Having been debuted by Sean Wotherspoon, the LEGO x adidas ZX8000 is every bit as playful as you’d expect. Everything from red to yellow and green to blue features on the LEGO x adidas ZX8000, adorning the suede, mesh and TPU. Sneakerheads will also be quick to notice the heel cage is also a lego piece. Of course, it is the small details that have really make this shoe.
The subtle details are what really helps to set the LEGO x adidas ZX8000 apart from the rest, however. Recognising the opportunity, the traditional lace dubrae is a small LEGO piece, a unique feature that really adds to this collab. The lace eyelets are also comprised of LEGO pieces, making for one of the best adidas ZX sneakers we can remember.
Fortunately, the LEGO x adidas ZX8000 drops on September 25th for just €130. Raffles have now ended but you can try your luck on the adidas site this weekend. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop the LEGO x adidas ZX8000.
