It is no secret that Virgil Abloh is a fan of skateboarding. The 29-year-old Louis Vuitton and Off-White™ head honcho has always shown his love for the skate community. Whether it’s by having skaters like Blondey McCoy or Lucien Clarke walk the runway or by simply skating himself, Abloh is a clear rider. One of Abloh’s close friends also just happens to be DGK founder, Stevie Williams. Now, Abloh and Williams are cooking up a limited-edition run of camouflage skateboards.
The decks feature a camouflage pattern with subtle DGK branding throughout. Taking a woodland camo design, the decks boast a number of slick details. For example, the decks which each be individually numbered alongside a large “ABLOH” inscription. The clean wooden top also features “Williams & Abloh™,” just in case you needed reminding who this collaboration is by. There is also a nice sentiment behind these limited decks.
All proceeds from the Abloh x DGK deck will be donated to Saved by Skateboarding, an initiative set up by DGK to provide skateboards to underprivileged youths.
