With 2021 well and truly underway, we’re back with another instalment of our Team KLEKT interview series, 5Qs and 5As. This week, we’re speaking to female sneaker collector, @florinav. Located in Austria, Florina has been heavily involved in the countries sneaker community for a number of years now. As a co-founder of Snkrempire, one of the german-speaking sneaker scenes biggest platforms, Florina is a real asset in the industry.

Hi Florina, great to have you here. Can you please introduce yourself?

Hi guys! My name is Florina, I’m a sneakerhead and sneaker blogger from Austria but some of you may know me from Instagram as @florinav. My love towards sneakers started some years ago and I’ve been growing my collection steadily ever since. Like most sneakerheads, I started to share my best shots on Instagram and I haven’t looked back since.

What is on your feet right now?

Right now, I have the Air Jordan 1 High Twist “Panda” on feet. I love the black and white combo of this sneaker and especially the unique upper made of pony hair.

Could you tell us what it’s like to be a sneakerhead in Austria?

It’s not that easy being a sneakerhead in Austria, especially in my area. The good sneaker stores are all located in Vienna which is far away from my hometown. My only chance to cop hyped releases is through raffles and online drops. Sometimes it is really hard to get all the pairs I want for my collection.

What are the last three sneakers you copped?

I recently picked up the Nike Air Max 1 “Strawberry Lemonade”; I just love the colours and the cute details on these. The other one was the Parra x Nike Air Max 1 which I got as a Christmas present from my boyfriend. Finally, the latest one was one of the most hyped pairs from the past few weeks: the Air Jordan 1 “Dark Mocha”.

You also run one of the biggest German-speaking sneaker blogs @snkrempire. What can people expect to find on Snkrempire alongside the cool restock alert?

Yes, I do! This all started a few years ago when we started thinking about starting Snkrempire. A lot of things had to be worked out first, like how do you even create a website, but one day we decided to give the whole thing a try. From that time on our blog has improved greatly. We have achieved a lot since then and we are working every day to improve it. But in the end, it’s always important to share your passion and the things you love!
