The adidas Adizero Evo SL has had a strange career. It was built as a training shoe for people chasing race times, and it ended up on the feet of people who have never run anywhere.
Two years and several dozen colourways later, adidas is still finding new versions of it. The latest one takes the laces off entirely.

What the Laceless Actually Changes
The Adizero Evo SL Laceless keeps the midsole and the upper shape of the standard Evo SL and rebuilds everything above the foot. A weave of supportive panelling runs across the upper where the lacing used to sit, and a stretchy tongue panel does the work of holding the foot in place. The result is a slip-on, with a squarer toecap and visible side panel supports.
Taking the laces off a running shoe is harder than it sounds. Laces are how you correct fit through the day, and without them the upper has to hold a foot that swells over a run and changes shape at every stride. adidas has been working at this for years across the Adizero line, and the panelling here is the answer rather than a stretch knit that simply gives up.
The three debut colourways stay conservative. Off White adds silver to the Three Stripes and the stabilising overlays. Core Black uses silver stripes with tonal supports. Cloud White drops the silver on the supports and goes black instead. Nothing here is trying to be a statement shoe, which is consistent with how the Evo SL has sold.

Where It Sits in the Evo SL Line
The Laceless is the fourth direction adidas has taken this shoe, after the standard Evo SL, the zip version and the EXO. That is a lot of variation for a silhouette that is barely two years old, and it tells you how well the original sold.
The one that started it is still the one most people want. The adidas Adizero Evo SL 'White' from 2024 is the pair that took the shoe out of running shops and into everyday rotation, and it has stayed in demand ever since. The Adizero Evo SL 'Grey' and the Adizero Evo SL 'Cloud White' cover the same ground in 2025 and 2026.

If you want the opposite of a plain white running shoe, the two ends of the range are the Adizero Evo SL EXO 'Black White Silver', with its exposed cage structure, and the adidas x BAPE Adizero Evo SL 'Blue & Pink', which arrives deliberately mismatched, one blue and one pink.

adidas Adizero Evo SL Laceless Release
The adidas Adizero Evo SL Laceless releases in autumn 2026 through adidas and selected retailers, in unisex sizing. The style codes are KI2648 for Core Black, KI2647 for Cloud White and KI2660 for Off White.
